My Thanks
A quick update
At the time of writing, The Deranged Mathematician is closing in on 2k subscribers, and—especially since this is a holiday1—I thought it would be good to pause and express my gratitude.
Truly, thank you to everyone who has participated in this venture and has lent their support—even something as small as sharing/liking/commenting on a post is welcome and appreciated. Special thanks, of course, go to my paid subscribers: you help to keep this project going.
Additionally, I know that there are some of you who would like to switch to a paid subscription, but are financially unable to do so at present. If you are in this boat and would like to have access to the paid content on the Substack, please consider contacting me: I can grant it.
For what it is worth, I have tried my best to make the cost reasonable and to make paywalled content an additional benefit, as opposed to truly necessary to enjoy the Substack—for instance, the group theory notes should be readable even without a paid subscription, which just adds more examples, access to problem sets and solutions, and so on.
In any case, a happy Juneteenth to those of you who celebrate it! I will have another, longer update tomorrow.
I’m writing this on Juneteenth.
